Foothill High School "We the People" Donations

We the People is a competitive civics class that focuses on citizenship and gaining expertise in the study of the Constitution.

This year, Foothill placed second in California’s state competition which put them in the running for one of the wild card spots for the national competition in Washington, DC in late April.  The class recently found out that they received the last wild card spot.  Foothill has never been to the national competition and the students are very excited to represent both Pleasanton and California next month.  They will participate in simulated congressional hearings, testifying as constitutional experts before panels of judges. While in Washington, DC, students will also have the opportunity to explore our nation’s capital, learn about government beyond the classroom walls, and meet with elected officials. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for them!

It will cost over $50,000 for the students to have this experience. Costs include: flights, hotel, competition fees, and more. We the People, through the Foothill Athletic Booster’s Greater Giving online software, is asking for donations to help fund this amazing trip! Any amount is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible.
